Welcome to the Nemp Community

Nemp is a personal digital material specimen book, built for designers, artists, and anyone who can't stop noticing the beautiful textures of the world around us. We built Nemp to be open, accessible, and respectful of your creative work: you never need to create an account or log in to use any core feature of the app. All your texture collections stay with you, on your own device.

This page lays out our shared understanding of how Nemp works, with no stuffy confusing jargon, just clear, friendly notes for all users.

Your Right to Use Nemp

We give you full access to all of Nemp's core features to use for your creative journey, for free. You can use Nemp to capture any surface textures you have permission to photograph: from the grain of your wooden work desk to the weave of your favorite sweater, the fibers in your sketchbook paper to the patina on city sidewalk stones.

• Use Nemp for personal projects, client work, professional portfolios, or casual hobby exploration
• Export your inspiration boards and texture previews to share with collaborators, post online, or use in your own creative work
• Install and use Nemp on all your personal compatible devices
• Browse, sort, filter, and compare as many textures as you want, with no artificial caps on your collection size

Your Content, Full Control

Every texture you capture, every inspiration board you arrange, every tag and keyword you add — that's all your creative work, and it stays yours. We never automatically access, collect, or share your texture collection from your device. Because you don't need to log in to use Nemp, we don't have any way to pull your private content from your device anyway — that's by design, to keep your work private.

The only time we will ever see any of your content is if you choose to send it to us voluntarily, for example when sharing feedback, reporting a bug, or requesting a new feature. Even then, we only use that content to address your request, and we will never share it with any third party.

How We Nurture Nemp Over Time

We're always working to make Nemp better: we test new camera features, add new organization tools, and tweak the interface based on user feedback. We will roll out free updates to the app over time that add new capabilities, refine existing tools, and keep Nemp working smoothly on new devices.

Our core promise stays the same forever: all the core features that make Nemp special — unlimited texture capture, side-by-side comparison, free-form inspiration boards, export tools, and offline access — will always remain free to use, with no hidden paywalls.

Our Shared Community Guidelines

We built Nemp to be a positive, creative tool for everyone, so we just ask that you use it in that same spirit:

• Only capture textures you have the right to photograph, and respect local rules around photography in public and private spaces
• Don't copy, repackage, or redistribute Nemp as your own product
• Don't use Nemp for any harmful, misleading, or exploitative activities
