Your Privacy Is Our Core Design Principle

At Nemp, we built our Macro Texture Journal around one simple promise: your creative work belongs to you, full stop. We designed every part of the app to keep your data private by default — no account required, no hidden data collection, no behind-the-scenes uploads of your texture collection.

This privacy policy explains exactly what (very little) information we ever receive from you, how we use it, and how you stay in full control of your data at all times, with no confusing legal jargon.

What We Never Collect, Ever

We built Nemp to work entirely on your local device first, so most of your data never even touches our servers:

• We never collect or access the textures you photograph, the inspiration boards you build, the tags you add to your collection, or your sorting/filtering preferences. All of this content stays stored exclusively on your device unless you choose to share it voluntarily.
• We never require you to create an account or share personal identifiers (name, email, phone number) to use any core feature of Nemp. We have no system to store or link personal identity to your app usage.
• We never scan, analyze, or monetize your private texture collection for any purpose.

The Only Information We May Receive

There are only two optional scenarios where we might receive any information from you:

• Optional anonymous usage analytics: You can choose to opt in to completely anonymous app usage tracking in settings. This only sends us generic, unidentifiable data about which features you use (for example: "user accessed the comparison slider" or "user exported a mood board") to help us improve Nemp. This data is never linked to you or your content, and you can turn it off at any time.
• Voluntary contact: If you reach out to us via email to report a bug, request a feature, share feedback, or send us samples of your work, we will only receive the contact information and content you choose to share with us in your message.

How We Use Information We Receive

We have no interest in monetizing your data, so our usage rules are very simple:

• Anonymous usage analytics are only used to prioritize feature updates and fix bugs to make Nemp better for all users.
• Information you send us via voluntary contact is only used to respond to your request, address issues you report, or consider feedback for future app updates.
• We will never sell, rent, or share any information we receive from you to any third party for any reason, except when required by mandatory applicable legal obligations.

Your Full Control Over Your Data

Since almost all of your Nemp data lives on your own device, you have complete control over it at all times:

• You can delete individual textures, entire collections, or all app data directly from the Nemp app settings at any time.
• Uninstalling Nemp from your device will permanently delete all local Nemp data stored on that device. We do not keep any copies of your private collection, so we cannot recover deleted data for you.
• If you have previously sent us messages or content via email, you can contact us at any time to request we permanently delete all records of your correspondence from our systems.
• You can opt in or out of anonymous usage analytics at any time via the app settings menu.

Third-Party Services

Nemp may be distributed via third-party app platforms, or include optional integrations with third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

• App store platforms you use to download Nemp may collect their own usage and device data per their independent privacy policies. We do not have access to or control over data collected by these platforms.
• If you choose to use optional third-party cloud backup features (like iCloud or Google Drive) to back up your Nemp collection, your backup data will be stored in your own third-party cloud account, governed by that service's privacy policy. We never access or store your cloud backup content.

Updates To This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally to reflect new features or changes to our practices. When we do, we will post the updated policy in the app and update the effective date at the top of this page. We will never make changes that weaken our core privacy promise: we will never automatically collect your private texture content, and never share your personal information without your explicit consent.
